Carrer Major<\/strong> is one of the main shopping streets of Felanitx. Here in this pedestrian zone, you can still discover really original Mallorcan stores<\/strong>, including some stores with handmade ceramics. Felanitx was once famous for its ceramics<\/strong>. Attention: During the typical extensive lunch time, the siesta, most stores are closed. They open again in the afternoon only. <\/p>\n\n

Interesting: Opposite the main portal at Pla\u00e7a de Sa Font de Margalida<\/strong> is a staircase down to the fountain of<\/strong> the same name, which once served as a source of drinking water! <\/p>\n\n

Market in Felanitx<\/h3>\n\n

The quiet place turns into a big outdoor event on Sunday morning: it’s market day! The market of Felanitx<\/strong> is very popular and well attended in the region, even among locals. Here you will find a mixed market offer of regional food from local farmers and producers, textiles, plants and typical Mallorcan products<\/a>. The market is held every Sunday from 9am – 1pm<\/strong> and is spread throughout the small city centre. <\/p>\n\n

Caf\u00e9 Candela<\/h3>\n\n

Not only on market day, but also for the rest of the week: The recently openedCaf\u00e9 Candela<\/a> will soon become an Insta hotspot<\/strong> for sure! You’ll find a small but nice breakfast\/brunch\/coffee menu and a tasteful interior here! Caf\u00e9 Candela is run by a lovely German couple and located right in the middle of the pedestrian zone of Felanitx. Don’t miss! <\/p>\n\n

Calvalry<\/h3>\n\n

A short walk from the center, you’ll reach Carrer del Call<\/strong>, which leads up to the Calvary<\/strong>. On top of the mountain there is a small chapel and you’ll have a nice view of Felanitx. Anyway, the Calvary with its path is not as imposing as the one in Pollen\u00e7a (which is really worth seeing!). <\/p>\n\n
